Hein & Oetting – a learning enterprise

We are specialized in the manufacture of above average, demanding technical products in highest precision. Thus we are – as a supplier for those businesses counted among the leading ones in their industry sector – an appreciated partner.

This has not been achieved by accident. Our roots trace back to the manufacture of compasses (see www.CPlath-Hamburg.de), thus to an industry sector, whose customers always had to rely on the quality of these products regarding processing and reliability. On this basis we could enter further demanding markets

Today we are among the trendsetters when it comes to initiation, care and organisation of customer relations on a creative and partnership level. Important cornerstones are the close collaboration with Research and Development (R&D) at the universities – especially the HAW-Hamburg – as well as the importance we attribute to the junior staff within our own ranks. About 20 percent of our job positions are filled with trainees and students.

What else can we offer to junior staff during their professional development in the above described business environment?


At Hein & Oetting we consider the following four aspects of major importance:

•    We are tangible
Hein & Oetting is a medium-sized enterprise, here people know one another and the CEO (owner) is „present“ for every member of the staff.

•    We are young
In our outer appearance as well as our average age: it is 36 years (common average is 40 years, in public service 44 years), which implies that we have an open ear for young people and are always open for their questions and ideas.

•    We are curious
We initiate exciting and practice-based projects for students – from which we jointly want to learn and whose practical implementation is jointly achieved as well.

•    We are experienced
Our Hein & Oetting training concept is based on our experiences. This means that our trainees are – after they have received the basic skills – gradually being introduced to our production processes. This is practical, provides fun and thus promotes an optimal learning effect.


Summarizing we can say: Our „learning environment“ from „young“ (respectively young at heart), „dynamic“ and „always facing new challenges“, is an essential part for our success on the market and with our staff.
